Statement from the rights holders

An unscrupulous individual was ordered by the Courts to return this cement model to the Ipoustéguy rights holders. He was indeed sentenced by the Paris Civil Court to restitute this sculpture under financial penalty. This individual allegedly abused the good faith of the rights holders, convincing them to lend him the work in 2021, purportedly for exhibition purposes. He then sold it without agreement or authorisation and, of course, kept the proceeds of this illicit sale.
We wish to warn the current owner of this model: this work is not listed in the catalogue raisonné. As a unique piece, it cannot be the subject of any edition in any material whatsoever (bronze, cast iron, resin, etc.): any such edition would be considered a FORGERY.
